The President of the United States gives up Primetime to Lost

Over the past couple of days people have been all a twitter about the upcoming State of the Union address. No, this isn’t some grassroots movement from the conservative right, or anything really political at all. Instead, everyone was worried that the President would preempt the season six premiere of Lost.

Earlier today Robert Gibbs, the White House press secretary answered a question about the scheduling problem. He told reporters that he could “allay fears” for Lost watchers. The President’s State of the Union address will not be on February 2nd.

“I don’t foresee a scenario in which the millions of people that hope to finally get some conclusion in “Lost” are preempted by the president”

Carlton Cuse, the executive producer of “Lost” promised to brief the President about the show. “In exchange for moving his speech, Damon and I promise to answer ANY questions the President has about LOST.”
